Housing Needs Survey

In recent years, the housing crisis has emerged as one of the most pressing issues facing communities nationwide. House prices on Dartmoor as a whole have risen to the point where many cannot afford to buy a house in the community in which they live or work and are forced to move away.

As the very first step in trying to solve this problem locally, the parish council is keen to establish whether these is a need for affordable housing within Lydford, and has commissioned a survey in an attempt to gather genuine data. Councillors would appreciate you giving a couple of minutes of your time to help them establish a genuine picture of the need for affordable housing by completing this simple survey

To reassure parishioners, this is the first step in a very long process. Even if a need is established and a means can be found to meet that need, it is envisaged that only a small number of affordable properties may be involved.
