Lydford Fayre 2024
We are pleased to announce Lydford Fayre will be on Saturday 6th of July, we are looking forward to welcoming back the Balloonists and the other regular features at the fayre.
Beating the bounds is an ancient tradition intended to remind people of the boundaries that were important in their lives. This year the event took place on Saturday 20th May.
Last year’s Scarecrow Trail throughout Lydford was an amazing success. It was an absolute delight to see so many scarecrows popping up all over the village. This created a wonderful atmosphere throughout and drew visitors from far and wide. The scarecrows’ presence also helped raise much needed funds for the Nicholls Hall. We’d love everyone…
The Nicholls Hall will again be running an art exhibition with cream teas being served on the Saturday and Sunday of August Bank Holiday Weekend (29/30th August 2026). The outreach post office service at the Nicholls Hall, Lydford has resumed. This service runs every Tuesday from 11am to 1pm in the small committee room – accessed by the side door.
There will be an exhibition of artwork by local artists on Saturday 24th to Monday 26th August 10am til 4pm in the Nicholls Hall. (Free Entry) Accompanied by the Lydford Village Jumble Trail on Saturday 11am till 3pm Cream teas and Ice cream available.
