Lydford Fair 2025
We will be holding a meeting on Tues 24th September (7.00pm) at the Lydford Sports Pavilion to begin planning for next year’s Lydford Fair 2025. In addition to a general discussion, we need to begin the search for several key volunteers to lead and manage each of the following areas:
BBQ and Food
Bar/Alcohol
Tea Room
Entrance Gate and Parking
Stall Holders and Marquees
Entertainment
These areas are key, and identified from experience gained from the running of the last few Fairs. Having a clearly identified person to lead each area will reduce the burden and make the task of organising the Fair more enjoyable, manageable, and less time consuming for all. Without these, it is unlikely the Fair will take place. It is recognised that each Lead person will also need additional several helpers on the day itself. Support and coordination will be provided by the Sports Field Committee.
Other items such as accounting, payment systems, raffles and advertising will be picked up by the committee members as appropriate.
