A reminder that children in Class 2 (Links Tor) need a red school tee shirt, black shorts and trainers or plymsoles in School for their PE lessons on Mondays and Thursdays.   Class 1 (Sharp Tor) children need only trainers or plymsoles, but in School every day.

SCHOOL SWEAT SHIRTS / TEE SHIRTS / FLEECES
Sweat shirts, tee shirts and fleeces are available for purchase from the office.

The WINTER WEATHER is still here !.

THE VISIT OF Y5 / Y6 PUPILS TO OKEHAMPTON COLLEGE'S
SCHOOL-PRODUCTION "HEARTBEAT"

Our pupils really enjoyed this year's Musical. Apparently the humour was exactly at their level !. Thank you to parents who helped with transport.

ROTARY QUIZ, OKEHAMPTON PRIMARY SCHOOL,
8th FEBRUARY

Well done to our eight pupils who took part. The staff who accompanied them have commented on their good behaviour, being, as usual, a credit to the School.

SPONSORED AEROBATICS:
NICHOLLS HALL,10th FEBRUARY

The children had great fun and plenty of exercise on Wednesday afternoon, fulfilling their sponsorship tasks. Please could all sponsorship money be brought into School before we leave for the Heatree Visit on the 1st of March. The sponsored money will be used to pay for the coach for the Devon Music Mix Festival on the 23rd June and, we hope, for the cost of the Music Workshops.

REMINDER: FOLS MEETING, 26th FEBRUARY, IN SCHOOL

FAIR FUNDING FOR DEVON SCHOOLS
Please see Tania Skeaping in the playground and ensure that you sign the Petition. This is becoming increasingly urgent for the whole of Devon, but especially for small schools such as ours. Tania will be returning the form to us on Friday, 12th February.

VIOLIN LESSONS
Three pupils are learning this instrument, and we are pleased that there was sufficient uptake to allow the lessons to go ahead.

KEYBOARD LESSONS
Just one pupil is learning keyboard playing this term. If any additional pupil is interested in starting after half-term, please let us know: We mention that the pupil would certainly need a packed lunch on the day of the lesson

SATS 2010
Please note that the KS2 SATS will take place in the week commencing on the 10th May and the KS1 Assessments in the week beginning 17th May. No absences will be authorized during those weeks.

VILLAGE MARKET
The FOLS stall is run at the Lydford Village Market by some of our parents. The sum of £25.45 was raised by the FOLS stall on the 06th February. Please look out for the next such Market and support it if you can. Many thanks to the parents that help run the stall.

VACANCIES
We always welcome new pupils to our School.
There are no employment vacancies at present.
