THANK YOU TO LYDFORD SCHOOL AND PARENTS FROM DEVON AIR AMBULANCE
Many of you will remember taking part in a fund-raising campaign with the Devon Air Ambulance some while ago. The Helibags scheme was trialled in the Braunton Learning Community and then in all primary schools. Children were asked to fill Helibags with materials that could be sold in the Air Ambulance shops. About three-quarters of Devon primary schools took part and well over 9000 bags were filled, raising £23000 in sales through the shops. Lydford children sent 25 Helibags.

TEACHER APPOINTMENT
Mrs Susan Painter has been appointed as a part-time teacher. and commences her duties in that post on the 17th March. Details have been sent in a letter to all parents.

EMPLOYMENT VACANCIES
There is currently a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant for four mornings (12 hours) per week combined with a Meal-Time (lunch) Assistant on two days per week (one hour and ten minutes per day). There is a further temporary vacancy for a Teaching Assistant for Special-Needs Children for four mornings per week (12 hours).
